Drunk Driver Arrested in Mexico City Incident

In one of the busiest areas of Mexico City, an incident occurred that mobilized police and traffic bodies. A 38-year-old woman was driving a luxury car through the city when she lost control and ended up invading the exclusive Metrobús lane. Her vehicle was partially on the sidewalk that separates the public transport lane, obstructing the passage of units.

Apparently, the driver showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, having difficulties speaking and an evident smell of alcohol. After the report, authorities from the Citizen Security Secretariat arrested her and took her to the Public Ministry, where a corresponding investigation will be opened. Elements from the Undersecretariat of Traffic Control were in charge of removing the vehicle.

The incident took place on Balderas Avenue, at the corner with Article 123, in the Cuauhtémoc borough. Although no injuries were reported, the situation sparked controversy on social media due to the dangers of driving under the influence on such a crowded road. It is expected that the legal situation of the detained driver will be clarified in the coming hours.
